Dr. R. Lynn Stevenson is a senior health care executive with extensive leadership experience in government, health care operations, quality and safety, human resources, and research. Lynn is an RN by profession and has a PhD with a research focus on organizational change, practice, and leadership.
She is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Health Leaders, a CFHI EXTRA Fellow and Certified corporate director (ICD-D).Lynn is a former Associate Deputy Minister in the British Columbia Ministry of Health. In this role she provided leadership to the Health Services Portfolio. Lynn also held senior executive positions in Island Health, Fraser Health, and British Columbia Cancer Agency.
Since leaving the MOH in 2018, Lynn has been consulting across the country on a wide variety of projects including: Covid reviews for the governments of Nova Scotia and Manitoba, senior strategy advisor on several files for BC MOH, member of the Nova Scotia Health Innovation Advisory Council and teaches the Policy and Government Course in the Master of Health Administration faculty at UBC.
Lynn has served on several boards including Board Chair of the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement (CFHI), and Health Excellence Canada and appointed member of the College of Dental Surgeons of BC. Currently she is a board member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) as well as the Board Chair of the Health Employers Association of BC (HEABC).
Lynn is recognized for her leadership abilities and has received awards from the Canadian College of Health Leaders, the University of Victoria, and the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia.
